Senior Product Manager

Regular Full-Time


This person’s responsibility will be developing brand’s strategy, leading the professional campaign and launching innovative tactics through different marketing channels.


Essential Functions

Branding & Strategy & Tactical Execution

  • Develop and execute a marketing strategy and associated tactics for assigned brands.
  •  Work with cross-functional team members (i.e. Medical, Regulatory, Promotion, Sales Operations, etc.) in the development of strategic and operational plans
  • Work with and directly manage business partners, such as advertising agencies to develop tactical plans and promotional tools that are consistent with brand strategies, are easy for the field to use/deploy (if applicable) and will yield a positive return.
  • Creates compelling messages and drives an integrated communications plan (personal and non-personal).

Marketing Excellence

  • Create and cultivate brands equity including branding, position, personality, and essence
  • Develop and refines customer value propositions that translate the strategy and address customers’ needs Understands the buying process and patient journey for brand/ disease state
  • Maintain a comprehensive and current understanding of relevant therapeutic markets
  • Demonstrates analytical capacity and understands the drivers of business performance at brand and above-brand levels.
  • Develop and effectively monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the brand
  • Demonstrate P&L mentality with a deep understanding of the variables that impact Gross to Net.

Operations & Budgets

  • Manage the submission and review of key promotional materials through our PRT process.
  • Support the development of forecasts and budgets along with assisting in the development of brand plans
    o Manage and track brand promotional budgets
  • Collaborate with other brand teams within Assertio to ensure team is aligned on priorities and ongoing projects
  • Compliance with Assertio internal processes regarding legal, regulatory, and financial policies and procedures



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Preferred degree in life sciences, business, and healthcare
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without sponsorship in the future\
  • Minimum of 4 years of applicable pharmaceutical or medical device experience with a minimum of 2 years of product management experiencey
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage complex processes and initiatives
  • Experience and the desire to work within a fast-paced department is required

  • Ability to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal.
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Standing: Remaining upright on the feet.
  • Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust
  • Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position of up to 20 lbs. on occasion
