Overview

Accountable for product strategy development and tactical execution across professional and consumer marketing efforts for Assertio’s product portfolio, with an emphasis on digital marketing strategy. Additionally, this person will lead and/or participate in the development of product life-cycle management plans, as well as high-level facilitation and communication with the Commercial team to ensure  goals are supported with brand strategy and tactics.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Lead the strategic development behind the professional and consumer marketing plans (Situation Assessment, Strat Plan and Tactical Planning) for the Assertio product portfolio
  • Expertise in digital marketing and technology
  • Responsible for leading and directing cross-functional team members (i.e. Medical, Regulatory, Promotion, Advertising Agency, Sales Operations, etc.) in the development of strategic and operational plans
  • Utilize strong communication skills to effectively communicate the marketing plan to the entire commercial organization
  • Develop and manage forecasts and budgets
  • Participate in the development and management of key customer and thought leader relationships
  • Compliance with Assertio internal processes regarding legal, regulatory and financial policies and procedures
  • Maintain a comprehensive and current understanding of relevant therapeutic market
  • Engage with internal customers on a consistent basis to bring an additional layer of strategic thinking and research expertise
  • Lead and support initiatives to improve the Teams processes and tools
  • Create and cultivate brands equity including branding, position, personality and essence
  • Ensures insight is brought to life through all marketing efforts, from strategy development to implementation
  • Develop and refines customer value propositions that translate the strategy and address customers’ needs
  • Understands the buying process and patient journey for brand/ disease state
  • Demonstrates analytical capacity and understands the drivers of business performance at brand and above-brand levels.
  • Develop and effectively monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the brand
  • Prioritize resources rigorously, allocating effort in relation to long-term profit potential
  • Demonstrate P&L mentality with a deep understanding of the variables that impact Gross to Net

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required; preferably in Life Sciences or Business, with an advanced degree in Business or Science preferred
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of applicable pharmaceutical marketing experienc or digital and technology marketing experience
  • Sales, strategic marketing, and/or market research experience is preferred
  • Significant experience in successfully leading the implementation of marketing projects

  • Ability to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal.

  • Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust
  • Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position of up to 20 lbs. on occasion
