Overview

Job Summary

The Executive Director of Commercial Operations and Government Pricing will set the course for the commercial organization with the implementation of key systems and infrastructure, the development of commercial strategy and the execution of key commercial processes and the commercial success of the product. Additionally, this person, along with cross-functional partners, will play a key part in developing commercial strategies to position the company assets for success. Along with direct reports, this individual will be expected to identify capability gaps in commercial operations and grow the organization accordingly, while developing and mentoring talent.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS     

  • Direct the pricing and contracting strategy and execution performance assessment for any assigned projects.
  • Drive key Sales Operations functions, including salesforce sizing, alignment, targeting, etc.
  • Oversee and lead Contract Operations team and vendor resources associated with this role.
  • Partner with Information Technology group to implement commercial systems and infrastructure.
  • Identify, negotiate, and purchase key datasets to inform business planning.
  • Collaborate with market access teams to evaluate ROI on access programming
  • Establish insightful payer, clinic, and hospital contracting analytics
  • Collaborate with Executive Director of Marketing to provide enabling strategies and technology to Field Team.
  • Collaborate with Executive Director of Access & Reimbursement to align access and pull-through efforts.
  • Drive commercial strategy through strategic pilots.
  • Support Field Leadership in driving efficiencies with Corporate Account Manager team (e.g., design and implement processes/technology that enables local business ownership and decision-making for field team members).
  • Define and oversee incentive compensation program for Field team.
  • Monitoring legislation and Pricing & Reimbursement trends and assess strategic and operational implications.
  • Ensuring that all policies, procedures and processes are followed to ensure ongoing compliance with external and internal requirements and guidance including new regulations.
  • Update and Maintain CRM systems based on business requirements
  • Other job functions as assigned.

 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE 

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in life sciences commercial operations.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams
  • Bachelor's degree required in Business, Public Healthcare, Healthcare Administration, Data Management, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
  • Proven strong understanding of 3rd party payers (commercial/government payers), distribution and trade, physician networks, healthcare systems, and public policies associated with Oncology
  • Strong working knowledge of all aspects of Commercial Operations, including:
    • Salesforce sizing and planning
    • Customer segmentation, targeting and alignment
    • CRM optimization
    • Contract analytics, Marketing analytics
    • Incentive compensation
  • Demonstrated success leading product launches.
  • Familiarity with Government pricing and reporting.
  • Knowledge of life sciences regulatory guidelines, compliance and promotional policies.

  • Outstanding analytical skills and capacity to drive complex modeling.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills - with exceptional aptitude for learning quickly and ability to communicate technical concepts to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Self-directed and motivated; possess a level of accountability and urgency, while collaborating with others.
  • Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.

 

Position Location and/or Territory and Travel

  • Position is a remote position.
  • Position may require up to 50% travel and to include traveling to a corporate office from time to time
